Event Description:
Mt Angel Chamber of Commerce presents the last great blast of winter - Wurstfest, the 10th  annual celebration of the mighty German (wurst) sausage on Febuary 9 and 10, 2018 from 10am to 10pm. Special events include Senior Day on Friday and on Saturday, Race Northwest holds a 5 or 10K walk/run.  Area sausage makers and vendors present the best of their wurst (sausages) served up with sauerkraut, grilled onions and mustards. Featured beers are Warsteiner from Germany and local Seven Brides Brewing. An array of German and regional wines plus non-alcoholic beverages are available. Select baked goods, chocolates, roasted nuts and other delicacies round out the food offerings. German clothing and specialty items are also on sale. Non-stop music at Wurstfest features O’fest favorites including Mt. Angel’s own Z Musikmakers. Local dancing troupes, the Engelberg Dancers and the KinderDancers, perform their lively dances both days.  21 and over entry $5 or $10 with specialty mug. http://www.mtangelwurstfest.org
